Men's Hooded Vaquero

Choose this jacket when the temperature goes sub-zero. It’s as warm as down, but more comfortable without the puffiness and the stiff, noisy shell fabric typically encasing down fill.  It is constructed with two layers of llama fabric. The outer fabric contains the coarse guard hairs as well as the finer down fibers to produce a rugged shell with an amazing warmth/weight ratio. Lined with the fine, dehaired llama fabric, this garment provides unequalled cold weather comfort. The wicking and breathing qualities of the llama fabric impart an impressive comfort range that reduces overheating when the thermometer goes above zero. Western styling and functional design make this a perfect choice for demanding applications for ranch or work wear as well as recreational activities such as hunting. The guard hairs in the outer shell create a distinctive luster that speaks of the garment’s quality.

• 60 degree comfort range. This jacket is comfortable at 25-30 below zero, but can be worn comfortably above freezing.  It is as warm as a heavy down jacket on the low end, but doesn’t overheat like that same jacket when the temperature goes above zero.
• The fitted hood sits on top of a 4” storm collar.  It stays up and doesn’t scoop wind when untied.
• Generous welt hand warmer pockets are lined with warm llama fabric.
• Two interior chest pockets keep personal items secure and accessible.
• Knit cuffs and back sweep provide protection and comfortable fit.
• Raglan sleeve design allows freedom of movement and comfortable fit for active wear.

Our llama fabrics are easy to maintain and clean. Launder as needed following our recommendations to keep your garment looking fresh and new.

• Wash the garment alone using the gentle cycle of your washer and cold water.
• Use shampoo for soap (without conditioner).
• After washing, lay the garment flat to dry (Do not use heated dryer).
